About
The Eisteddfod
A PROUD TRADITION OF PERFORMANCE, CREATIVITY AND COMMUNITY SPIRIT
The Goondiwindi Apex Eisteddfod is a much-loved annual celebration of the performing arts, proudly sponsored by the Apex Club. Held in the first week of August, this six-day event brings together performers of all ages from across the region and beyond, creating a platform to showcase local talent, foster confidence, and build community spirit.
With a strong tradition of excellence and encouragement, the Eisteddfod offers a wide range of performance opportunities across the categories of Speech & Drama, Dance, Instrumental & Piano, Vocal and Choral. It provides a welcoming and supportive environment for students, teachers, and families, celebrating creativity and hard work in a professional theatre setting.
More than just a competition, the Eisteddfod is a cornerstone of cultural life in Goondiwindi, inspiring the next generation of artists and giving audiences the chance to witness the incredible talent nurtured in our community.
The event concludes with a wine and cheese evening, bringing together select acts and the wider community to celebrate the week’s achievements.
Now in its proud tradition of continuous growth and participation, the Goondiwindi Apex Eisteddfod remains committed to nurturing young performers and providing a stage where they can shine.
